The Amazon is the biggest and the dangerous forest in the world and these characteristics makes it more interesting. You can trek through the known trails or you can adventure to the untamed trails, you can go on the river in a hand-made canoe or you can just stay in a hammock and listen to the wilderness whisper. In Leticia is hard to get to, but the place disserves the 7 to 9 days trip with the regular boat or the 12 hour trip, which is the shortest one, with the speed boat. In this part of the Amazon jungle you can go with a canoe to visit the flooded forest and the lakes on a half day excursion. Places like this one you can find all over the Amazon, but you should be careful because some villages are protected by government and you shouldn’t go alone or uninformed.
